Some People Are Constantly Hungry, Why?
New research has uncovered that low blood sugar many hours after a large meal makes you more likely to crave and consume more food.
In light of this, the recent results from the world’s largest real-life study of the research team from King’s College London and science company ZOE (which includes Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the University of Nottingham, as well as researchers from Sweden and the Leeds University in England) has determined that many individuals cannot stay slim even though they follow calorie-controlled diets, and points out the need of metabolism knowledge when it pertains to diet and overall health.
Measurements were made on the food of over two weeks, totaling over 8,000 breakfasts and 70,000 meals total Breakfast consisted of the same number of calories, varied in composition but included higher or lower amounts of carbohydrates, fat, and fiber. On top of that, they performed a total fasting blood sugar test to see how well their bodies absorb sugar.
All participants wore CGMs that monitored their blood sugar level during the entire study, with an activity and sleep sensor. They also took the degree of hunger and sleepiness and food intake into account.
