How to Plan and Visit The 3rd Smallest Country in The World
If you are looking for a unique and adventurous travel destination, you might want to consider Nauru, the third smallest country in the world. Nauru is a tiny island nation in the Pacific Ocean, with a land area of only 21 square kilometers and a population of about 10,000 people. Nauru has a rich and fascinating history, culture, and natural beauty, but it also faces many challenges such as environmental degradation, poverty, and isolation. In this blog post, we will give you some tips on how to plan and visit Nauru, and what to expect from this amazing place.
First of all, you need to know that traveling to Nauru is not easy or cheap. There are only two airlines that fly to Nauru: Nauru Airlines and Air Kiribati. Nauru Airlines operates flights from Brisbane, Australia; Honiara, Solomon Islands; Tarawa, Kiribati; and Majuro, Marshall Islands. Air Kiribati operates flights from Tarawa only. The flights are infrequent and often fully booked, so you need to book well in advance and be flexible with your dates. You also need to apply for a visa before you travel, which costs $100 USD and requires a letter of invitation from a local sponsor or a hotel reservation.
